Structures: concrete, wood, metal

Whether working with Concrete, Wood, Metal, Clay, Straw or Hemp, the engineers in our structure department choose the construction systems best suited to the objectives of the project in which they are involved. They combine the best of each structure type in order to respect the elegance of the architectural design as much as possible, while complying with a growing number of construction constraints.

From tall buildings to buildings meeting anti-earthquake standards, the studies incorporate the most advanced design software, thus allowing all stakeholders to work collaboratively on the shared project’s digital BIM model. A business area BIM Coordinator oversees skills development and ensures the appropriateness of the department’s BIM methods.

Wood is playing an increasingly important role in building and our dedicated team is taking a growing interest in site planning optimisation, combining dry construction process with pre-fabrication in the workshop.
